TNT Sports has teamed up with NBA 2K and Genius Sports to “blur the lines between the video game and the real NBA experience” with the “NBA 2K25 Datacast.” The alt-cast features four innovate NBA 2K25 presentations on truTV and streaming on Max during the 2024 Emirates NBA Cup Quarterfinals and Semifinals.
The broadcast will feature NBA 2K25 themed overlays, including: NBA 2K Scoreboard, shot meter, shot feedback, green light, badges, stamina bar and boosts, camera angles, button icons, and more. It will was feature real-time game insights like player tracking, shot probability, shot distance, and more. Up to six NBA 2K25 Locker Codes will be revealed as well.
“We are conscious of the fact that many fans today have experienced sports through videogames first and are used to watching the game from that perspective,” says Matt Mosteller, VP of content, TNT Sports.
“We’re excited for fans to be able to experience the NBA Cup through this NBA 2K lens. Many fans who have grown up playing NBA 2K will be able to see it come to life in the real game.”
