2K has announced that they’re cracking down on cheaters in NBA 2K27. 2K has begun permanently banning NBA 2K27 accounts caught using cheats and scripts, including shooting aids and input manipulation. The first wave of bans is retroactive to Early Access on August 26, with enforcement continuing as detection systems improve.

NBA 2K27 PROTECTING FAIR PLAY
In August, we promised to take action against cheating in NBA 2K27. That action starts today, with bans retroactive to day one.
We have issued the first wave of permanent bans against accounts using cheats and scripts to gain an unfair advantage through shooting aids and other input manipulation.
This behavior violates our Player Code of Conduct and undermines the game for everyone competing fairly.
Any account found to have used these methods to cheat since Early Access on August 26, 2026, is subject to a permanent account ban, and repeated cheating will result in a console/PC ban. Every ban is reviewed and confirmed before it is applied.
This first wave covers the accounts confirmed so far, and enforcement will not stop here; it is the standard going forward. Our detection is always improving, with new capabilities already in development. We will continue to monitor and take action against accounts using cheats, and as cheating methods evolve, so will our detection.
