In addition to NBA 2K League’s regular 5v5 competition, new to the NBA 2K22 esports scene and the NBA 2K Community are 3v3 Tournaments, brought to you by Coinbase.
Amateur teams from around the world will have the opportunity to participate alongside NBA 2K League teams for a share of the 3v3 tournament prize pool. Â There will be three 3v3 tournaments and a culminating 3v3 champion will be crowned. 2K ballers can put together a roster and enter an upcoming qualifier for the chance to win $10,000, VC, and bragging rights.

SLAM OPEN Amateur North America Qualifying Event (Remote)
- Region: North America only
- Non-PlayStation Tournament Dates: March 23rd – March 27th
- PlayStation 5 Tournament Dates: March 30th – April 3rd
- Registration Dates: February 28th – March 16th
- Game Format: 3v3 Pro-Am
- Tournament format: Single elimination; each round before the finals will be BO3; finals will be BO5
- Age restrictions: 18+ upon date of registration
- Prize Pool: $10,000 total ($5,000 per console)
- Additional Prizing: 500,000 VC per player on the top 4 teams from each console
- Top 2 teams from each console will also advance to the Coinbase NBA 2KL SLAM OPEN

STEAL Open Amateur Europe and APAC Qualifying Event (Remote)
- Region: Asia-Pacific/Europe
- Console: APAC – Playstation 5 only / EU – Playstation 5 only
- EU Tournament Dates: April 27th – April 30th
- APAC Tournament Dates: May 4th – May 7th
Registration Dates: April 4th – April 17th - Game Format: 3v3 Pro-Am
- EU Tournament format: Single elimination; each round before the finals will be BO3;

- APAC Tournament format: Single elimination; each round before the quarterfinals will be
- BO3; quarterfinals to finals will be BO5

- Prize Pool: $10,000 total ($5,000 per console)
- Additional Prizing: 500,000 VC per player on the top 4 teams from each console
- Top 2 teams from each console will also advance to the Coinbase NBA 2KL SWITCH OPEN
Amateur Teams vs. NBA 2K League Teams (in the Coinbase 3v3 Tournaments)
- Amateur teams from around the world will have the opportunity to participate alongside NBA 2K League teams for a share of the 3v3 tournament prize pool.
- The first two of these 3v3 tournaments will include the 24 NBA 2K League teams and North American amateur teams.
- North American amateur teams will be able to enter into qualifying events to earn spots in the group play stages of these first two 3v3 tournaments.
- The third and final of these 3v3 tournaments will include NBA 2K League teams and one amateur international team from each of the European and Asia-Pacific regions.
- International amateur teams will be able to enter region-specific qualifying events to earn spots in this third tournament.
