2K Bans Top Rep Leaderboard Cheaters in NBA 2K26

NBA 2K26 Top Rep Leaderboard Bans

NBA 2K dropped a massive temporary ban wave against players who abused account sharing and a foul glitch that accelerated rep gains, and it completely shook up the Top Rep leaderboard. Some of the highest ranked grinders got hit with 2-week suspensions. 2K confirmed more bans are still on the way.

Many in the NBA 2K Community noticed that on the Top Rep Leaderboard, the math wasn’t adding up. Players with far fewer games suddenly passed people with insane game counts and scoring totals, which led to speculation that certain players found a variation of the glitch that isn’t detectable by the system.

Here is the official announcement from NBA 2K:

Today, we took action against players who manipulated the Top REP race in The City.

REP progress gained through account sharing has been removed. Sharing accounts to gain an unfair advantage or undermine competitive integrity is prohibited. Note: Future violations may result in stronger penalties without prior notice.

Players who exploited a 2X REP multiplier to accelerate their progress in the Top REP race have been temporarily banned, and any REP progress gained through this exploit has been removed.

In a small number of cases, REP progress was fully reset for players who engaged in both account sharing and exploit abuse.

These actions are part of our ongoing efforts to detect and minimize unfair play. Future violations may result in additional penalties, including temporary or permanent account bans, device bans, or full REP resets.

Thank you for helping us maintain a fair and competitive environment for the NBA 2K community.
