NBA 2K fans are always curious about what difficulty setting applies to online modes like Park, REC, and Pro-Am, since difficulty impacts shot success rates, defense, and overall gameplay balance. Mike Wang, Gameplay Director at NBA 2K, clarified how these settings work for NBA 2K26.
According to Wang, here are what the difficulties are for these game modes:
- Park and REC are on a difficulty that’s a mix between All-Star and Superstar (SS)
- The Casual Court in Park is on a Pro difficulty, where it’s possible to make “whites” (shots with a slightly early or late release)
- Pro-AM and Proving Ground are on a custom difficulty that is closest to Hall of Fame (HOF)
