NBA 2K27’s Season 1 puts Victor Wembanyama front and center while introducing a new lineup of rewards across The City and MyTEAM. From Bonus Badge Tokens and Cap Breakers to Dark Matter Derrick Rose, Tracy McGrady, and exclusive Pro Pass rewards, here’s everything you can earn during Season 1.
NBA 2K27 Season 1: Victor Wembanyama Takes Center Stage
Victor Wembanyama has already reached the NBA Finals once, and as he prepares for his fourth season leading the San Antonio Spurs, the 22-year-old superstar is showing no signs of slowing down.
After unanimously winning Defensive Player of the Year for the 2025-2026 season, Wembanyama is now the face of NBA 2K27 as its featured cover athlete and the headline star of Season 1. NBA 2K27 gives players the chance to follow Wemby’s pursuit of greatness while sharing the court with the league’s biggest stars.
Season 1 also brings a major change to The City. For the first time in NBA 2K history, the City is co-ed, allowing male and female MyPLAYERs to play together. Team up with your Crew, compete throughout The City, earn XP, and advance through the Season rewards ladder to collect cosmetics, emotes, Bonus Badge Tokens, Bonus Badge Slots, and more.
Whether you’re spending your time competing in The City, creating your ideal MyTEAM lineup, or progressing through MyCAREER, Season 1 gives you plenty of reasons to jump into NBA 2K27. Here’s what’s waiting for players this Season.
The City
Wembanyama’s accomplishments are impressive considering he’s only three years into his NBA career. The Spurs star has already collected Rookie of the Year honors, two All-Star selections, two All-Defensive First-Team selections, and a unanimous Defensive Player of the Year award.
Now it’s your turn to build a résumé of your own in The City. Bring your Crew together, compete for wins, and work toward the top of the leaderboard.
Playing games earns XP, which moves you through the Season rewards track. Progression can unlock everything from Skill Boosts and MyPLAYER cosmetics to Cap Breakers and the new Badge Tokens.
Badge Tokens were detailed previously in the MyPLAYER Builder Courtside Report and are used to equip Badges. Every NBA 2K27 build begins with 20 Badge slots. Players who make it all the way to Level 40 can earn up to four additional Badge Slots, four Badge Tokens, and four Synergy Badge Slots.
Some of the Season 1 rewards include:
- Level 15: Bonus Badge Token
- Level 16: Orange Swirl Hoverboard
- Level 17: ‘Prowl’ – San Antonio Spurs Mascot
- Level 18: Bonus Badge Slot
- Level 29: Cyber Robot Eyes
- Level 30: Synergy Badge Slot
- Level 34: Messy Afro Puff Hairstyle
- Level 39: Ninja Suit: Apprentice
- Level 40: Cap Breaker
2XREP & City Events
Players looking to accelerate their progression can once again participate in 2XREP events.
Throughout Season 1, 2XREP Weekends and other special events will give players opportunities to earn additional REP. Games completed in Casual Corner, The REC, The Theater, Ante-Up, Proving Grounds, and Crew Divisions inside Crew HQ can qualify for the 2XREP reward.
There are several other events planned for the Season as well. Midway rewards players based on performance and completed challenges, while The Deep End adds 4-point shots to the action. Blackout challenges players to complete lines on a Bingo card, with prizes including VC, Skill Boosts, exclusive apparel, and more.
Season progression isn’t restricted to one mode. Thanks to cross-progression, XP earned in both The City and MyTEAM counts toward the same Season level.
The ultimate objective is to reach Level 40 during Season 1.
MyTEAM
MyTEAM Season 1 starts players off with a selection of high-level talent capable of filling several different roles. You’ll find dominant interior players, dangerous three-point shooters, and versatile scorers among the available rewards.
Premier Exchange: Dark Matter Tracy McGrady — Houston Rockets
The Exchange has received a major overhaul in NBA 2K27. Players can now trade in any Player Card they own, with Free Agent cards being the exception, including cards obtained through the Season rewards track.
The headline Premier Exchange reward for Season 1 is Dark Matter Tracy McGrady.
McGrady’s six seasons with the Houston Rockets produced some of the most memorable stretches of his career. That includes his famous 13-point performance in 33 seconds and Houston’s 22-game winning streak. The seven-time All-Star now becomes an exclusive Dark Matter reward for players who complete the Season 1 Premier Exchange.
The Season reward ladder also contains a variety of player cards, progressing from Amethyst to Dark Matter as you climb through the levels.
Season 1 MyTEAM Reward Ladder
Level 1 — Amethyst Bam Adebayo — Miami Heat
Bam Adebayo is the longest-tenured member of the Miami Heat and one of the league’s most versatile defensive bigs. His combination of basketball IQ, athleticism, physical strength, and defensive ability makes him a strong starting reward. The Level 1 Amethyst version even gives players the opportunity to chase an 83-point performance.
Level 10 — Diamond Desmond Bane — Orlando Magic
Desmond Bane brings elite shooting to the backcourt. After establishing himself as a premier floor-spacer with the Memphis Grizzlies, the Orlando guard has developed into one of the NBA’s most dangerous shooters, regularly threatening the 50-40-90 benchmark. His Level 10 Diamond card can become a key part of your backcourt.
Level 20 — Pink Diamond Ivica Zubac — Indiana Pacers
Standing out as a powerful interior presence, Ivica Zubac becomes an important part of Indiana’s revamped center rotation. His strengths include screening, finishing, and creating offense from the mid-post. The Level 20 Pink Diamond card is particularly effective as a roll man.
Level 28 — Amethyst Coach Mike Brown — New York Knicks
Mike Brown takes over as the Level 28 reward after guiding the New York Knicks to the 2025-2026 NBA championship. His system emphasized fast-paced offense, spacing, reliable shooting, and athletic wings. Add him to your MyTEAM lineup once you reach Level 28.
Level 30 — Galaxy Opal Khris Middleton — Washington Wizards
Khris Middleton brings three-level scoring and proven playoff experience to the reward track. The veteran wing has earned three All-Star selections and won the 2021 NBA championship during his 14-year career. His Level 30 Galaxy Opal card adds another reliable mid-range scoring option.
Level 35 — Dark Matter Olivia Miles — Minnesota Lynx
Olivia Miles enters MyTEAM after being selected second overall in the 2026 WNBA Draft. The Minnesota Lynx rookie is a creative playmaker capable of shooting from virtually anywhere beyond the arc. She’s also the engine behind one of the WNBA’s most efficient offenses and enters the season as a Rookie of the Year favorite.
Level 40 — Dark Matter Derrick Rose — Chicago Bulls
Derrick Rose’s combination of speed, explosiveness, and finishing ability made him one of the most exciting players of his generation. He became the youngest MVP in NBA history and developed into a beloved Chicago Bulls icon after leading the franchise through unforgettable postseason moments.
The Level 40 Dark Matter Derrick Rose card gives players a dynamic offensive weapon, while Rose also serves as the cover athlete for this year’s Ultra Edition.
