2K and the NBA 2K League have announced this year’s “Become a Pro” series which will feature a series of 5v5 and 3v3 pick-up games that will take place in 2K24’s MyCAREER Event Center. The event will give 2K Ballers an opportunity to receive draft eligibility for the official NBA 2K League Draft as well as additional prizing, such as in-game items.

KEY DATES / SCHEDULE
- 5v5 competition:
- October 12, 2023 and October 13, 2023 at 4:00 – 10:00 PM EST each day
- October 14, 2023 and October 15, 2023 at 12:00 – 6:00 PM EST each day
- 3v3 competition:
- October 21, 2023 and October 22, 2023 at 12:00 – 6:00 PM EST each day
- October 23, 2023 and October 24, 2023 at 4:00-10:00 PM EST each day.
TRYOUTS & ELIGIBILITY INFO
- Players must be over the age of 18 by January 1, 2024, in order to receive draft eligibility
- Up to 3 players per position will be granted draft eligibility
- Players will join individually and be randomly assigned to teams to compete in multiple games.
- A leaderboard will keep track of each player’s individual ranking based on performance across however many games he/she will play.
- Each session of games will last approximately 4-hours.
- Next-gen only: you can only tryout on Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5 and must have PS Plus Service or Xbox Live Gold Service.
- You can only play under 1 account/PSN ID/Gamertag and on 1 platform throughout the duration of the contest
- Entrants must strictly adhere to all game play guidelines and official rules or risk the possibility of disqualification.
LOCATION
- All games will be played within NBA 2K24 game at the 2K Event Center in the City
PRIZES / REWARDS
- Each player who finishes in “Tier 3” on the Contest Scoreboard will receive: (i) five (5) in‑Game “Skill boosts”, (ii) five (5) in‑Game “Gatorade boosts”; (iii) one (1) digital NBA 2K League “player panel” that will display around the player’s gamer tag in certain instances in the Game; and (iv) one (1) digital NBA 2K League t‑shirt.
- Each player who finishes in “Tier 2” on the Contest Scoreboard will receive: (i) ten (10) in‑Game “Skill boosts”, (ii) ten (10) in‑Game “Gatorade boosts”; (iii) one (1) digital NBA 2K League “player panel” that will display around the player’s gamer tag in certain instances in the Game; (iv) one (1) digital NBA 2K League t‑shirt; (v) five thousand (5,000) in‑Game virtual currency, usable in the Game; and (vi) one (1) pair of NBA 2K League digital arm sleeves usable for a MyPLAYER in the Game.
- Each player who finishes in “Tier 1” on the Contest Scoreboard will receive: (i) twenty‑five (25) in‑Game “Skill boosts”, (ii) twenty‑five (25) in‑Game “Gatorade boosts”; (iii) one (1) digital NBA 2K League “player panel” that will display around the player’s gamer tag in certain instances in the Game; (iv) one (1) digital NBA 2K League t‑shirt; (v) ten thousand (10,000) in‑Game virtual currency, usable in the Game; (vi) one (1) pair of NBA 2K League digital arm sleeves usable for a MyPLAYER in the Game; and (vii) one (1) NBA 2K League digital jersey usable for a MyPLAYER in the Game.
- Each player who finishes in the top three (3) at their position on the Contest Scoreboard will receive: (i) all prizes listed in the immediately preceding bullet for Tier 1 players; (ii) twenty-five thousand (25,000) in‑Game virtual currency, usable in the Game; (iii) unlimited in‑Game “Dunk boosts”, and (iv) subject to all applicable NBA 2K League requirements, as discussed more below, inclusion in the pool of players eligible to be selected in the 2024 NBA 2K League Draft.

- Learn as much as you can about real-world basketball dynamics and basketball IQ
- Gaming Managers may scout Twitch and YouTube streams
