NBA 2K26 King of the Court: Everything You Need to Know

King of the Court is a competitive MyTEAM mode in NBA 2K26, offering players a high-stakes environment to test their skills. The mode is bigger and better this year, with new features and rewards.

What is King of the Court?

NBA 2K26 King of the Court in MyTEAM is a timed competitive event where qualified players face off to post the highest game scores before hitting three losses. Players are ranked in tiers based on performance, with top spots earning the biggest rewards. It’s essentially a skill gauntlet to determine who’s the best in MyTEAM for that period.

How Does King of the Court Work & How to Qualify?

The qualification criteria is also simpler and now checks to see how much REP you’ve earned in the preceding week, allowing you to qualify by playing in any MyTEAM mode or by completing Challenges. Once you enter King of the Court games, you will notice that the game difficulty will be set to a more competitive slider set compared to MyTEAM’s other multiplayer modes.

The leaderboard ranks the sum of each player’s four best Game Scores during that weekend, with four tiers of rewards each event. Three losses will freeze your score, similar to 2K25. Tier requirements are loosely based on the 1%, 10%, and 50% thresholds from 2K25; however, they will lock in hours before the end of the event to prevent score fluctuation as the remaining games are finalized at the buzzer. Continue beating your own high scores to climb the leaderboard.
