Female MyPLAYERS are getting their own online multiplayer mode of 3v3 in NBA 2K25. In the latest NBA 2K25 Courtside Report, the 2K team goes over the latest features that are being added to “The W” – the new-gen exclusive WNBA mode of 2K25. The W returns this year with exciting features aimed at becoming the G.O.A.T.

“This WNBA season has been electric, showcasing incredible talent, especially from the dynamic rookies making their mark to the legends. We wanted NBA 2K25 to reflect this action-packed season and show how The W is about chasing the win,” said Felicia Steenhouse, Senior Producer at Visual Concepts.
“This year, we’ve deepened the immersion and opportunities for players to leave their mark in the WNBA, as we’ve worked with the league to scan more WNBA players making it as true-to-life as possible. We even re-worked our engine to ensure smaller details, such as eyelashes and an increased library of hairstyles, would be properly represented.”

Players strive to climb the all-time ranks in a new story mode, competing in the 2024 WNBA Rookie of the Year race alongside stars like Angel Reese, Caitlin Clark, and Kamilla Cardoso. Their accomplishments, such as championships and awards, are visualized through detailed graphs, tracking their career progress and comparisons to other GOAT candidates.
Press Conferences
For the first time, press conferences allow players to influence their career narrative. These will occur after significant moments like record-breaking performances or awards, with questions tailored based on player performance.
The W Online
The W Online features a new outdoor court set in a forest grove, enabling players to engage in 3v3 multiplayer games. Weekly Community Goals return, requiring collective efforts and tracking new stats, including excellent shot releases and teammate grades.
Game Changers Mentorship
This new feature continues the Game Changer status earned by contributing to Community Goals, enhancing player engagement and mentorship opportunities. New Rewards in the W Online include jersey dresses, holiday-themed clothes, arm sleeves, ball trails, green release animations, and more.
