A minor badge balancing update will go live for current and new gen on Sept. 24 morning. NBA 2K22 Gameplay Director Mike Wang clarified via Twitter that 2K is “trying to be extra careful to keep our Day 1 gameplay balance intact as best we can”.
This is a noticeably different and great approach by 2K to be conservative about introducing updates that could potentially alter the gameplay balance for the worse (as we’ve seen in previous games). This is especially true in the first few weeks of the game being out and the game is still fresh to users.
We’re trying to be extra careful to keep our day 1 gameplay balance intact as best we can, so these are pretty conservative badge tweaks. Please keep the feedback coming! https://t.co/mMRl9aS029
