In this NBA 2K25 guide, we list the best free throw animations, tips, and more to ensure you drain free throws easily and consistently at the charity stripe.
Best Free Throw Attribute to Use
The free throw attribute you decide to go with depends a lot on what type of NBA 2K25 build you make. For example, a spot up shooter in Pro-Am may be able to get away with a lower FT rating than a slasher or inside big build, since they’re usually in less contact / foul situations.
Generally, a minimum FT attribute of 65 can net at least a 50% success rate in free throws. Equipping your build with a FT attribute in the 70’s or 80’s or higher (plus a good FT animation, listed below) will result in a more reliable and consistent make percentage.
