As we pointed out months ago, NBA 2K16 will indeed add full body scans of NBA players. 2K Sports has confirmed it in a recent tweet:

First glance would suggest this will improve the authenticity of body types, dimensions, tattoos, and more. As always, more and deeper authenticity to the real NBA is a welcome addition to the NBA 2K fans and community.
