One of the most beneficial and time-saving rewards has been unlocking the Rebirth reward. Getting a Rebirth build is something all 2K gamers look forward to, as it gives us a head start on subsequent builds. Rebirth is back for NBA 2K25, and in this article, we go over the new changes.
NBA 2K25 Rebirth Explained
In NBA 2K25, the “Rebirth” reward essentially gives new builds a “head start” in maxing out another build. After receiving the Rebirth reward, you’ll have the option to start your next build(s) at an advanced level.
How to Unlock Rebirth in NBA 2K25
- Navigate to MyCAREER menu > Quests > Side > Special > Rebirth
- Locate Ronnie 2K in front of the ‘Player Entrance’ your team’s arena. Set a waypoint on the City Map to find him quicker
- Reach 90 OVR with your MyPLAYER Build
- That’s It! You’ll also be awarded 2,500 VC

Why is Rebirth Useful in NBA 2K25?
Rebirth works a bit differently in NBA2K25: your initial Max Overall with Rebirth will be equal to the highest Overall Rating you’ve previously reached (anything 90 and up).
So what means is that if you hit 99 OVR with a previous build, your next build will already have 99 OVR capable attributes! You’d just need to use VC to max out the attributes.
In MyCAREER, you start with Bronze level badges. If you have Rebirth though, you’ll be able to start your build with Silver, although you will need to meet attribute requirements to use each badge.
Conclusion
Rebirth is a must-have for anyone who plans on making multiple builds in NBA 2K25. Whether there will be a Rebirth 2.0, like there was last year, remains to be seen. We’re happy to see that Rebirth is back in the game and it’s sure to help 2K ballers with their MyPLAYER and MyCAREER grind.
