For a fourth consecutive year, Matt Cord – the public address announcer for the Philadelphia 76ers for the past 26 years – will have his voice included in the NBA 2K series.
Over the weekend, Cord visited Fenix Studios on Staten Island to record his lines for NBA 2K25.
“There was not a ton of recording needed for the new game because most of the stuff I voiced in the previous three years is still good for this year’s game,” Cord explained. His voice previously appeared in NBA 2K22, NBA 2K23, and NBA 2K24.
NBA 2K25 Release Date
“NBA 2K25 will be dropping sometime in the fall and I can’t wait!,” Cord confirms. NBA 2K25 is expected to have its usual annual release date in early September 2024.
NBA 2K25 Cover Athlete
The NBA 2K25 Cover Athlete Predictions are rampant, but Matt has his own favorite for cover athlete, presumably Joel Embiid:
“I’m looking forward to seeing who is going to grace the cover this year. Maybe, they’ll take it back to their roots and have a player on the Sixers on the cover.”
A busy man, Cord is also the host of the Matt Cord Show along with Steve Vassalotti.
