The Toronto Raptors earned their first championship with a 114-110 victory in Game 6 in Oracle Arena’s last game ever, clinching a 4-2 series victory behind Finals MVP Kawhi Leonard (22 points, 6 rebounds), Kyle Lowry (26 points, 10 rebounds, 7 assists), and Pascal Siakam (26 points, 10 rebounds). In a huge blow to the Warriors chances to even up the series, Klay Thompson tore the ACL in his left knee in the 3rd quarter. The injury piled on to an already depleted Warriors team, with Kevin Durant rupturing his Achilles’ tendon during Game 5.
