2K has announced details for a NBA 2K24 gameplay update following the Season 3 Patch Notes which should heavily impact Season 3 gameplay. Shooting, Takeovers, and defense all had changes made.

NBA 2K24 Gameplay Update (12-1-23)
- Increased the shooting make window size on Hall of Fame difficulty and in competitive multiplayer modes when the Shot Meter is turned off
- Reduced the shooting make window size for heavily contested shots on Hall of Fame difficulty and in competitive multiplayer modes
- Reduced defensive impact of late closeouts
- Reduced impact of Takeover boost
- Reduced on-ball steal success
