FIST 92 SIDE
- Where to find it: Bulls and Nuggets playbooks
- Type: Pick and Roll option
- Execution: In this play, the Power Forward and Center both set a side double screen for the ball handler, then the PF pops out and the C rolls to the paint. The wings spot up for 3. So this would be good if you have a stretch PF, good inside C, and wings who can hit the 3 on your roster.
- Benefits: Good for opening up court spacing, creating mismatches, weakening in-paint help defense by bringing the opponent’s PF and C out of the paint, and giving you multiple options to score.
FIST 52 LOOP
- Where to find it: Bulls and Nuggets playbooks
- Type: Pick and Roll option
- Execution: In this quickly ran play, the Power Forward and Center both set a side double screen around the FT line, for a cross cutting wing who bounces out to the 3pt line. Then a big sets a delayed pick for the same wing player.
- Benefits: This would be good if you are trying to free up and create space for a wing 3 pt shooter.
