That same year, he was honored as one of the league’s Top 75 greatest players of all-time by being named to the NBA 75th Anniversary Team. 2. Nikola Jokic (97 OVR)
We move from Greece to Serbia for our next top international player in NBA 2K23, Nikola Jokic of the Denver Nuggets, nicknamed “The Joker”. Jokic is 2-time MVP and a walking triple-double and dime dropper with an overall rating of 97 in NBA 2K23. Jokic is one of the most versatile offensive players in the game and has established himself as the best passing big man / center ever.
3. Joel Embiid (97 OVR)
Leaving the shores of Europe, we head to Africa and Joel Embiid, a.k.a. “The Process”, is one of the best international players in NBA 2K23 and has been recently named the 2022-23 NBA MVP. The Cameroonian-born center plays for Philadelphia 76ers and having dropped to an overall rating of 95 in November 2022, is now up to 97, along with Jokic and Antetokounmpo. 4. Luka Doncic (97 OVR)

The Slovenian plays for Dallas Mavericks and the 6’7 guard is a fantastic playmaker and scorer. Doncic won the NBA Rookie of the Year in the 2018-19 season and is sure to contend for league MVP’s well into the future.
5. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander (94 OVR)
Our final player in the top 5 international players in NBA 2K23 is from Canada and Shai Gilgeous-Alexander has an overall rating of 94 in the game. That leaves the point guard 3 points behind the other players listed on this page but Gilgeous-Alexander is superb in the playmaking and outside shooting department. He is also gets the vote as one of the best young players to start a franchise with in 2K23.
