The Los Angeles Lakers have had a pretty abysmal season, as expected after the loss of Dwight Howard in the offseason and all of the injuries to their star players, currently 19-36 (.345 winning percentage). Clearly, they will be looking towards the future while possibly salvaging one last championship run for the aging Kobe Bryant.
In NBA 2K14 MyGM and in the real NBA, Lakers have some options and decisions to make. Do they resign Pau Gasol? Will Carmelo Anthony come to Hollywood? Will the Lakers be in play for the Jabari Parker or Andrew Wiggins sweepstakes? The Lakers appear to be in full tank mode with the recent trade of Steve Blake to the Warriors for youth movement Kent Bazermore and MarShon Brooks. A bright spot for the Lakers has been floor general Kendall Marshall, showing he might be the Lakers answer for PG of the future if Steve Nash is unable to return from injury.
