2019 NBA 2K League Finals: T-Wolves Gaming Defeat 76ers GC, BEARDABEAST Named Finals MVP

In a grueling best of 5 series that went the distance, T-Wolves Gaming emerged as the 2019 NBA 2K League champions, defeating 76ers GC, 52 to 35, in Game 5.

In their first season in the NBA 2K League, T-Wolves Gaming started off the season 3-6, but after a mid-season trade for JMoneyRep817, came roaring back and got hot at the right time to make it all the way to the Finals.

T-Wolves Gaming had key contributions from multiple players throughout the series, but most notably was point guard BEARDABEAST, who was named Finals MVP, and made a name for himself as arguably one of the best NBA 2K players in the world. His skills, bball iq, and composure, set the tone for T-Wolves Gaming throughout the playoffs and Finals.

In Game 5, BEARDABEAST led the way for T-Wolves Gaming with 23 pts and 6 assists, but it was the squad’s team defense, led by shooting guard TURNUPDEFENSE (who lived up to his name), that was the story throughout Game 5 and much of the series. With his Lockdown Defender build, TURNUPDEFENSE amassed 9 steals in Game 5. The squad’s high defensive intensity, tight rotations, and togetherness, forced 76ers GC into a multitude of turnovers throughout the series, including 76ers GC point guard Radiant’s 9 TO in Game 5.

Rounding out the complete team effort, JOJO and FEAST came up with several important offensive rebounds throughout the series and overall solid play, with JMoneyRep817 contributing overall as well.

With the win, T-Wolves Gaming brings home the NBA 2K League trophy, championship rings, and $360,000 in prize money.
